Traffic Exchanges is a web site that can bring in major traffic to any one of your sites. Some can do this for free. Now they work like this. You put your web site on the traffic exchange and you surf for credits. You look at other peoples sites for a certain amount of time. (Some Exchanges times vary) And in return someone else in the system looks at yours for a certain amount of time. Some sites offer a auto surf feature. Try to go for ones that offer a manual surf feature. Some different traffic exchanges offer to sell credits to you at a low cost. This can be good to save you some time surfing other sites. This is safe to do and will bring in traffic to your site.

Some other features of a traffic exchange is the surf ratio. What a surf ratio is the amount of credits earned from the amount of sites viewed. This is usually the best you will see without paying a bunch of money for an upgraded membership. But the key is to not pay any money for advertising right! So stick ones that offer a free membership and offer either a 1:2 or a 1:1 ratio.

Another feature to look for is if they offer a banner exchange as well. This can make or break any site you have. Why? Because when other people are surfing your banners are being showed separately when your site is being showed to another person. Meaning that you are exposing your site twice as many times with the banner than without. But you need to have a banner that is flashy and that can draw peoples attention quickly. If you do so then people will look and click on your banner before they look at the other persons site. It is kinda mean but you got to stand out in order to make it in this business.

Do traffic exchanges really work? Yes they do, they can bring in major traffic with real people looking at your site instantly and with very little effort. The thing to remember is not to think that they will bring in major sign ups and money in your account over night. If you don’t have good content in your site to draw in sales you will not see results. Some other advice I can give you is make a splash page that is quick loading so that when other people in the traffic exchange look at your site they can see something that will draw in here attention fast. And if it loads fast then you know that the people looking at your site will look at it longer, instead of running out of time before the page loads. But that is for another article later.
